Want To Get To The Beach Faster? Head To Jamaica
November 14, 2011
Frequent fliers know that the first leg of every journey always feels like it takes the longest. With so much to be excited about at your destination, the minutes can seem to drag by as you wait for your flight to land. While little can be done about the time it takes to travel to many of the world's top exotic destinations, the addition of a third airport to Jamaica may make flying into this island a bit easier.
While there are two other airports already established in Jamaica, James Bond fans are sure to want to fly into the island's newest hub exclusively. Dubbed the Ian Fleming International Airport, this new spot was named after the British author who practically invented the spy thriller genre with his tales of international mystery and deceit. Fittingly, the airport was designed to specifically handle small aircraft and private jets - just like the planes that Mr. Bond himself might fly in.
When determining which airport to fly into, travelers should remember one thing: whether you are headed to Jamaica for a romantic rendezvous with your significant other or are jetting off on a girls-only getaway, arriving at your vacation villa rentals as quickly as possible is never a bad thing.
