This villa is ideal for one couple during the summer time (as only the master bedroom has A/C) or 4 couples + 2 children during the off season. This villa has 5380 sq ft living space set in nearly 2.5 acres of enclosed land close to AIX EN PROVENCE (about 3 miles) in the elegant area of St Marc Jaumegarde. A really exceptional villa, as much in its design as in the quality and originality of the materials used and in its unique relationship with its aquatic surroundings and it’s decidedly ‘zen’ atmosphere.

THE MAIN HOUSE:

West Wing: the sleeping quarters with 3 BEDROOMS and an office with single bed, printer, desk.
On ground floor:
Bedroom 2 with king size bed, connected to a magnificent bathroom, white pebbled floor, bath with Jacuzzi, Italian shower, 2 basins
On the second floor:

In the middle: a cathedral like sitting room with raised passageway on the first floor. There are volcanic stone walls. There is a huge, south facing, retractable picture window opening onto a large terrace overlooking the ornamental pools with a central fireplace, piano and sofa. The decor is restrained but elegant with a Balinese influence. Dining area that leads to a patio constructed with a glass floor that can see glimpses of moving water and fish. There is a positive wall of water to the north and a bay window to the south. Fully equipped, air conditioned kitchen with a view of the 26 x 8.5 ft indoor heated swimming pool with jets, a fireplace and a large Indonesian bed. This space is entirely glassed in and is sheltered by the framework of a Balinese house and its colonnades.

East Wing:
On the first floor: the master bedroom has its own bathroom with south facing view over the ornamental pools and the Aix countryside. 6.5 x 6.5 ft bed, dressing room. A/C. Terrace with view of the St Victoire mountain.

In the basement:Home Cinema with large screen and a fully equipped exercise room with power plate, exercise bike, treadmill, sauna, hammam, a large shower, toilets and cloakroom. There is also a laundry and storage room.
Note: The large room on basement can be converted into a dormitory for teen ages on request and in advance.

Completely independent : A little stone mas comprising of a large bedroom with a large king size bed ( 2 x 100cm) , shower room (green granite), wc, kitchenette and TV.

Staff

• Cleaning service and breakfasts provided every morning.

Villa Notes

• The caretakers Maurice and Fatima live on the premises in a maisonette on the property and speak English..
• Fatima is an excellent cook and is available at 12 euros per hour + cost of food.
