This wonderful farmhouse from the 1800 has been renovated under the tuscan tradition. The house has a surface of 350 square meters and can accomodate up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms.

The house is furnished with antique furniture with rich Tuscan tradition, while also featuring the most modern of amenities, including floor heating, air-conditioning & central vacum system. Step outside to the patio and pool area and be treated with a view of the valley.

The house is composed of 2 floors.

Ground floor:

• Kitchen: A professional kitchen with oven, temperature drop down system, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher.
• Dining room with fireplace
• Living room with flat screen satellite TV, fireplace
• Relaxing room with Turkish bath, hot tub hydromassage (2m x 2m) and bathroom. Massages available upon request (extra cost)

First floor:

• 3 double bedrooms
• 1 twin bedroom
• All bedrooms have en-suite bathroom (2 with shower and 2 with tub), satellite TV 26” and broadband internet connection.

Garden & Pool area:

• The private garden is full of vineyards, olive trees and bushes of lavender, roses and rosmarine.
• At the front of the house a terraced pergola completely equipped for meals and barbecue.
• Elevated from the house is a beautiful swimming pool (12x6 meters)

The garden and pool are illuminated at night, and the terraced pergola is a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and local culinary specialities - and immerse oneself in the peace and tranquillity of this unique location, listening to the sound of crickets, and watching the fireflies sparkle. The accommodation is self-catering, but the owner and her family own and run the local restaurant and on request, will happily arrange to cook a special dinner for you at the villa, or give a Tuscan cooking class (learn how to make a perfect pizza in the wood oven!).

• Casale Mareli is located in the village of Montemagno on the hills of Versilia along the old “Via Francigena” just 18km from the center of Lucca and 15km from the coast versilia.
• Pisa is just 40km away . The house can provide the tranquility and the silence of the Tuscan hills with a beautiful panorama and at the same time in short time you can be in the most beautiful towns full of history and art.

• Florence – Chianti – Cinqueterre – Portofino – Siena can be reached from the house within 1 – 2 hours
• At short distance there is the famous Versilia coast with its sandy beaches and exclusive beach clubs of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi.

• House cleaning twice a week; Saturday-Wednesday, 3 hours for each session

Villa Notes

• The villa is near a church and every hour the chimes of the clock can be heard
• Pets are allowed on this property at a fee of €50
• Electricity is additional cost based upon consumption
• An extra bed is available at €100
• The owners will welcome you in person and will be at your complete disposal during your stay at Casale Mareli.

tuscany Villa Notes

Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.
