Chateau Allegre - MP101

Chateau Allegre is a medieval jewel beckoning from the 13th Century. Overlooking the magical valley of the Sorgues, this entirely renovated castle with swimming pool is set on a magical location for a gathering of friends or family of ten people.

For the past 800 years, this chateau proudly dominates the Valley of the Sorgues. Four handsome towers at each corner, with red shutters on the many windows face the picturesque landscapes. Enjoy life at the Castle on the bank of the river. Between Saint-Affrique and the Larzac plateau, the Valley of the Sorgues has the subdued charm of hidden treasures. It is not as renown as other Aveyronnese valleys, and yet its singular beauty has in all seasons attracted noblemen and notables of Montpellier in search of authentic vacation spots. The villages bordering the Sorgues are as warm as they are beautiful.

The castle can accommodate up to 17 people in 8 very spacious bedroom rooms and 4 bathrooms. Meals are taken in the vaulted dining room, entirely restored, and there is a 10 meter by 5 meter swimming pool built inside an ancient trout basin facing the castle. Sun tanning on the terrace, with the unique panoramic view is ideal. A housekeeper will take care of the castle's upkeep for the duration of your stay.

Second Floor Vestibule: Second floor vestibule, large salon with satellite TV, fireplace, VCR, Hifi, sofas. 2 Suites: Bedroom - Charlotte faces West with one double standard bed, 2 single beds, fireplace, bathroom en suite with tub in the tower, WC.

Bedroom - Harmony faces East with one double standard bed, fireplace, bathroom en suite with shower and WC in the tower.

Third Floor: A billiard room, 4 Suites: Bedroom - Estelle faces East with one standard double bed and one single bed, fireplace, bathroom en suite with tub and WC in the tower.

Bedroom - Melkior faces West with 2 double beds a standard double and a queen size bed with a bathroom en suite in the tower with tub and WC.

Bedroom - Medievale with one standard bed, bathroom ensuite with tub and WC.

Bedroom - Louis XIII with one standard bed, bathroom ensuite with tub and WC.

Grounds: Approximately 20 acres of land, pool, large terraces and garage.

Location Information: Averyon in Midi Pyrenees, located in Versols in Southern Aveyron. Saint Affrique at 10km. The Chateau is near the famous Millau Bridge between Saint-Affrique and the Larzac plateau.
