Enjoy the sea, the music, the tradition and the gastronomy, discover the pleasure without renouncing to privacy and relaxation. The Villa offers spacious rooms for weekly stay, all with breathtaking sea view, furnished with antique furniture and equipped with the best modern comforts.

Dimora di mare is an ancient Villa built in the 19th century straight upon the sea of the Amalfi Coast. The Villa has just been renovated, maintaining the architectural features of the building intact. It has been transformed into a vacation rental with all the comforts imaginable, while preserving the special character of historical homes with rich antique and elegant furnishings and majolica tiled floors.

Its four stories are connected by an ancient stairway with artistic inlaid wood handrails and arched windows overlooking the beautiful sea. At the Villa’s entrance, on the ground floor, you can find Prelude and Overture, which are the reception - with internet point & tourist informations - and the living room with fireplace and ancient library.

The equipped panoramic roof garden on the top and the bougainvillea terrace on the bottom, both of about 100 sqm, are the most beautiful setting for the guests' special and unforgettable events.

The property has a private garden of about 1.500 sqm, with private access to the sea by a stairway: one hundred and thirty stone steps runs through bougainvillea terraces and lemon and orange gardens, till it reaches the equipped solariums, the natural caves, the pool with water massage set in the panoramic viewpoint and a small private pier set in the enchanting inlet of the sea cliff.

A full Spa has just been built at the Villa and this includes a large Swim Spa Jacuzzi of 4,30 x 2,3 metres with water massage, aromatherapy, cromotherapy and heated water, a small gym, an infrared Sauna for two people set into the natural grotto within a massage table and a relax area. Spa manager, for wellness and beauty treatments, is available on request.

The Villa is managed directly by the owners who live in independent apartment within the property on the garden floor.

Location

• The lovely beaches of Castiglione and Atrani are about 10 minutes walk away. Amalfi and Minori are equidistant at about 1 Km, while Maiori is at about 1,5 Km. From Amalfi you can take a boat to Positano, Sorrento, Capri or Naples. Ravello, 350 meters on the sea level, is 5 Km far, Positano 18 Km, Salerno 25 Km, Sorrento 35 Km, Ercolano and Pompei 45 Km, Paestum 50 Km, Naples 60 Km, Rome 250 Km. Available quick taxi service and local bus stop (SITA service) immediately outside the Villa, so a car is not necessary.

Bedrooms

• The spacious, fully equipped double rooms are located on the upper stories of the Villa and their names recall the passion of Ravello for classic music: Rapsodia, Suite, Fantasia, Romance, Arabesque, Melodia, Fuga.
• All rooms have a breathtaking view of the sea with balconies and/or windows, ensuite bathroom with glass mosaic, comfortable hydro shower and/or Jacuzzi and hairdryer, heating, air conditioning, flat screen LCD TV, Ethernet Internet access, direct dial telephone, minibar, safe, sitting corner.
• All are elegantly decorated with antique furnishings, precious textile fabrics, hardwood floor and majolica tiled hand made floors.
• The maximum guests number is 16 people, also including the apartment on the garden floor.

Pool

• Pool Swim spa (4,3 m x 2,3 m) heated water with upstream swimming and water massage, set in the panoramic viewpoint

Staff

• Daily cleaning with bed linen and towel change twice a week.

Villa Notes

• The Villa is available for weekly stays from Saturday to Saturday. Check in 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Check out 10:00 am.
• A refundable security deposit of € 1.500,00 is to be paid in cash upon arrival
• With its unique atmosphere, Dimora di mare is a beautiful setting for special events for a limited number of participants (work meetings, private parties and exclusive wedding celebrations). Thanks to the exclusive reservation formula, the Villa will be at your complete disposal and that includes all the equipped outdoor areas -gardens and terraces-, all the bedrooms for the guests’ stay, as well as the whole organization and catering on demand. Please inquire about costs and details for special events.
• The following services are available upon request at an additional cost:
• This property, upon request, is also available with full staff (gardener, cook and cleaning staff), so it’s possible to have a continental breakfast each morning and one meal a day (brunch, lunch or dinner, like guests prefer). The property has a wine cellar into the rock (wines can be purchased here and paid for locally) and there is also a vegetable garden which supplies the kitchen. Porter service is included at arrival and departure (one luggage for guest). Concierge service and Spa manager (for wellness and beauty treatments) are also available on demand.
• Exclusive Catering by Professional Cooking Staff of Chef, Sommelier & Waiters (cost per person starts from € 150,00 for meat & vegetables menu up to € 200,00 for fish & vegetables menu). This Event Service must be arranged at the booking time only and will be paid 60 days before arrival.
• Domestic Cooking Service with waiter (cost per person starts from € 50,00 for meat & vegetables menu up to € 70,00 for fish & vegetables menu). This service must be arranged at least 15 day before arrival and must be paid in cash upon arrival.

amalfi-coast Villa Notes

Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.
