Surrounded on three sides by the Pacific Ocean, Punta Mita is a haven for those seeking unparalleled natural beauty set in a town of low-key luxury. While the area has become known for its exclusivity, attracting the likes of celebrities and the jet set, it maintains a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Here, the pace is slow, the climate tropical, and the gentle breeze a much-welcomed constant.
Punta Mita is home to some of Mexico’s most exquisite white sand beaches and year-round waves, making it a favorite spot of novice and advanced surfers alike. But there are plenty of other activities to lure visitors to the water. Charter a boat and enjoy some of the world’s best sport fishing, go for a dive and glimpse incredible marine life, or – for a real adventure – explore the seas in a panga, a traditional metal boat often seen in these Pacific waters.
From breezy, expansive verandahs to golden palm-fringed beaches, the offerings at our Punta Mita Villas succeed in marrying the area’s relaxed atmosphere with sophisticated accommodations
“Rent or charter a boat to the Marieta Islands. There are many different species of birds there and the snorkeling is spectacular. The water is crystal clear and there are tons of caves and tunnels.
Have lunch along the ocean in the little tiny village of Punta Mita. It’s an absolute must – very teeny. It’s called El Anclote. There are only a few shops and a few restaurants, but it’s great to have lunch or dinner and enjoy the atmosphere.
Go to Sayulita. It’s a charming bohemian-like town about a 40 minute drive north. In Punta Mita, there’s really nowhere to shop, and women especially love to go to Sayulita to shop, eat lunch, and watch the surfers.” ―Sue, Punta Mita & Puerto Vallarta Villa Rental Specialist
