Medea Tuscany

Overview

Medea is an exquisite five bedroom apartment with a spectacular terrace, and is located in the heart of the historical center of Florence.

This rare apartment is ideal for large groups of sophisticated travelers who enjoy the city life, highly stylish decor and prefer the intimacy and privacy of “a home” instead of checking into 5 star hotels and sharing the common hotel spaces with other guests.

The apartment is built on two levels and is set inside an historical landmark building with an elevator. The interior decor is very sophisticated. The mix of luscious colors -warm browns and taupes with powder gray and ivory - create a serene escape throughout the entire space. Luxurious materials are combined with a tasteful minimalist use of furniture creating a very interesting design. The fashionable and contemporary style of Medea and its high-end amenities and standards create the ultimate luxury 5 star hotel experience.

Our family of 8 and three children had a wonderful time here! Firenze is my favorite place in Italia and Apt Medea is a magical place to escape the crowds and find peace! Everything about this place is perfect: the location, the furnishings, the bathrobes, the concierge Ilda’s help and Tigi’s cleaning.

We had a wonderful stay in Florence. The Medea is truly a special place. Really!! The building itself is a piece of artwork. No joke. Such history. It is a former palace from one of Florence's first mayors. The building is still owned by a variety of family members today. The building was bombed during WW2, but lovingly restored with salvaged materials. We enjoyed learning of the history. The apartment was very well equipped and we enjoyed every inch of it. It was hot and I was so pleased that the AC was so efficient. The communication between us and the property manager Ilda was also very good. She was great. The outside terrace is fantastic! Also, the property manager did a lovely job at stocking the pantry with several items which was very much a surprise and appreciated. She even had the housekeeper daily restock olive oil and coffee as needed.

Medea was perfect. The location couldn't have been better...right between the Ponte Vecchio and the Ufizzi Gallery on a small side street. The furnishings were lovely, beds were comfortable, very nice bathrooms, great kitchen. Lovely staff, who came and served breakfast and did morning cleaning, they made our dinner reservations for us as well.

Wifi, ipod dock, umbrellas, bottled water, city guides...could not think of anything that they missed.

Would be great for a family visit to Florence.
