Villa Laura

Villa Laura dates back to 900 AD and was the set for the film "Under the Tuscan Sun" in 2002 before its restoriation started in 2006. In 2010 it was finsished and ready to welcome guests. Every room is unique, with beautiful original features, hand woven Busatti fabrics and the highest quality bed linen. All rooms in the property have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, en-suite bathrooms and each with it's own beautiful view of the surrounding coutryside.

There is always something to keep you entertained, whether it be a swim in the travertine pool, a soak in the jacuzzi, a walk through the Medici park land to visit the ducks on our lake or a Bocce tournament with other guests.

There's a table tennis table under the pergola, a 9ft American pool table and selection of board games in the games room, cinema screens, and a pizza oven and BBQ if you want to get creative in the kitchen!

Cortona is a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk up the hill. The position of the villa is perfect for visiting the local towns by car and has a train station just a 5 minute drive away with direct trains to Florence and Rome.

Due to limited transportation in outlying and rural areas, a rental car is essential for stays at countryside villas in Italy. We are more than happy to arrange a car for you during your stay, please just let us know at time of booking.
Please note that Italy villas rent from Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis and upon request.
The Italian government has implemented a Visitor’s Tax of €1.50 per person per day and applies to all overnight stays for the first seven days in the destination. This tax is payable to the local property manager.
