There’s no denying that all of the Riviera Maya villas in our portfolio are truly wonderful – selected for their incredible locations and magnificent accommodations. But that doesn’t mean we can’t play favorites. Below (and in no particular order), Villa Specialist Kim Palmer divulges a few of her favorite homes in this spectacular destination.
1) Beach House, Playa del Carmen
“Beach House is directly on the beach and is in close proximity to Playa Del Carmen, where you’ll find shopping and foodie heaven. There’s so much to do. It’s also close to Mayan ruins and the ecological parks. The villa’s interior mixes elements of wood and stone for the floors and I love the outdoor lounging areas overlooking the inviting elongated pool and ocean.”
2 & 3) Casa Del Agua & Zacil Na, Puerto Aventuras
“These two traditional hacienda-style homes provide one of the BEST chefs in Riviera Maya! And the whole staff is quite fabulous, making guests feel like royalty, while relaxing at the beach or around the pool in a casual comfortable atmosphere. Both homes are beachfront and can be rented together for large groups (up to 18), or individually.”
4) Hacienda Paraiso, Tulum
“This incredible villa is in a prime location, sitting directly on a beautiful white sand beach. There’s a rooftop pool with an absolutely gorgeous view and the home’s large interior is perfect for families. Hacienda Paraiso has membership to the Beach Club next door, which offers many amenities, and the home is but 500 meters from the world-famous Tulum archeological site.”
5) Quinta Clara, Playa del Carmen
“I love the layout and the design of the house. There are 7 bedrooms – including a beautiful master – and the entire villa wraps around the pool and gardens. To the side of the pool, guests have access to a pristine sandy beach. And the home is in Playacar, so it has a real neighborhood feel, and is within walking distance to famous 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen.”
6) Aqua, Playa del Carmen
“This villa is stunning. The design is contemporary – it looks like something you’d see in Architectural Digest – and it offers guests a great living space. The surrounding outdoor area is beautifully kept and the beach is just a short walk away.”
7) Hacienda Kass, Soliman Bay
“Hacienda Kass is ideal for those seeking a bit of seclusion, as it sits about 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. The home is very elegant and very unique, making it completely perfect for a small outdoor wedding. It also has a fabulous rooftop patio that offers incredible views of the entire bay.”
8) Hacienda Del Mar, Puerto Aventuras
“Over time, this home has proven to be one of the most luxurious with excellent staff and services. Located in the wonderful community of Puerto Aventuras, Hacienda Del Mar is directly on the beach and close to the small village, which offers some shops and restaurants. There’s also a lagoon that has a daily dolphin show, which kids really love.”
9) Casa GiGi, Playa del Carmen
“I love the décor and ornate details everywhere you look in castle-esque Casa GiGi. The finishes and floors are beautiful and the water views from the bedrooms are spectacular. Truly, it’s unlike any villa you would expect to find in Mexico.”
10) Amber Villa, Playa del Carmen
“Reminiscent of a boutique hotel, this stunning contemporary beachfront villa has an incredible attention to detail. It has a really modern feel and an incredible courtyard. And the outdoor bath and shower off the master bedroom are to die for! Very romantic!”
