Esplendora

We just returned from an amazing 7 day stay at Villa Esplendora. I wish we could have stayed longer or owned the house! But alas that's not to be. First let me mention the staff. Sergio, the "concierge" couldn't have been more attentive to our needs without being intrusive. Margaritas? Sure! And they would appear! Never had that experience before. Wow! Daniel and Alcela created three lovely Mexican meals per day and each one different and delicious. I've officially become a fish eater because of them! If the owners are reading this, keep these guys on forever!

Our rooms were cleaned each day and our clothes crisply ironed and washed! You really don't have to pack very much. And the ocean view rooms are huge and open right out onto either a balcony or right out onto the patio. Well, I can't call it a patio really. It's huge! Two of the rooms are in the back and don't have a view, but all you have to do is walk out into the living room and onto the patio and into the pool in just a matter of steps.

There's a palapa where we ate all of our meals and an infinity pool which seemed to melt into the ocean. You could be in the pool and look out at the sunset each night before drinks and dinner. Gorgeous! There are rocks beyond the pool where we watched the iguanas sun themselves. Yes, it even comes with iguanas to entertain you!

The ride to town is about a half hour which isn't too bad. You can go shopping for gorgeous Mexican silver and see the sights, then return to the solitude of your secure villa. We felt very safe there.

All in all, I highly recommend this gorgeous place. This is the first kind of experience we've ever had like this and hopefully it won't be the last. - Kathleen A.
