Dorata

Europe / Italy / Amalfi Coast

Along Italy’s Amalfi Coast, steep cliffs drop into a deep-blue sea, and small towns are built directly into the rock.

Roads and stairways connect compact centers lined with pastel-toned houses, while terraced slopes support lemon groves and Mediterranean vegetation. The coastline is known for scenic views, a mild climate, and a long tourism tradition shaped by local culture and natural beauty.

At its center is Positano, a vertical town of domes, steps, and beaches where buildings descend toward the shore in tight layers. Widely appreciated for its views and distinctive architecture, Positano blends historic character with modern hospitality and services.

Recently, the town inaugurated a public elevator from the main street, allowing easier access to upper areas. The lift reduces the need to climb long stairways and improves access to Villa Dorata, a luxury private palazzo high above the village.

Living Spaces

Ground Floor (Entrance Level)

  • Sitting room with fireplace joined by a formal dining room with double doors leading to front panoramic terrace
  • Professional kitchen with large stone fireplace and 2 pizza ovens

Lower Floor

  • Modern, full-service spa—complete with Turkish steam bath, hot-and-cold water showers, sauna, Jacuzzi with oxygen-therapy, and massage room; beautifully indoor pool with current swimming option and waterfall.

Outdoor Features

The ground level features a spacious terrace ideal for dining al fresco. At garden level, orange, lemon, and mandarin groves surround a charming loggia designed for quiet relaxation. Among the outdoor spaces, a paved garden in traditional Vesuvian stone is interspersed with flowerbeds hosting mature citrus trees, figs, and pomegranates, and at its far end stands a gazebo. From the public elevator exit, the center of Positano can be reached in about eight minutes on foot via steps and the main road, while the beach and waterfront restaurants are approximately 15 minutes away.

Special  Characteristics

The villa’s architectural details are enhanced by rich fabrics, gilt-framed artworks, and romantic terraces. Sumptuously soft sofas, crystal chandeliers, lavish draperies, inlaid ceilings, and finely crafted alcoves create interiors of exceptional comfort and distinction, making a stay at Villa Dorata truly memorable. Outside, Eden-like gardens and surrounding citrus groves frame elegant spaces for lounging and dining al fresco, as refined as the interiors themselves. All of this is complemented by dedicated staff attentive to every need.
